We are open to volunteers from March through to November. We are WWOOF hosts and follow following the guidelines and principles of the WWOOF network. There is always a variety of land work to be getting on with and we offer accommodation with plenty of good food in exchange. During the year we also try and find time to focus on particular tasks that involve skills and experiences that volunteers can learn from. These volunteer weeks for 2024 are listed below, if you would like to join us during any of these periods just following the volunteer booking form link.

Mushroom Week: April 1st – 5th

Logs to be inoculated and woodchip beds to make. We will also be managing the areas of woodland used for mushroom cultivation and carrying out elements of the Refungium.

Gardening Week:  April 8th – 12th

Busy time of year in the garden. If you are interested in our Farming with Fungi  Project this will be a good time to visit.

Hempcrete Week: May 6th – 12th

If you are interested in learning about hempcrete how it is made and applied, then we would really appreciate your help in constructing hemp create walls of one of our low impact houses

Earthbag (and Walipini!) Building Week: 17th June – 21st

We are building a dug in greenhouse and using earth bags for the retaining walls. If we can get the wall finished we can begin putting together the frame as well.
